Smashingly Good Mash-Ups!

We’ve found a new way to enjoy an old favorite! Instead of making ice cream sundaes for your next gathering, make an assortment of “Mash-Ups”! The flavors are unique and ones that you certainly won’t find in your local market. And have fun with it, these are simply suggestions that appeal to us. If you are having a gathering, make a few different flavors - I know any of these would be a great hit at any adventurous eater’s birthday celebration!

Keep combinations simple and to a minimum, this will allow the flavors to stand out. Think about texture, crunchy bits are terrific! And do not be afraid to experiment… I recently saw in the New York Times a place serving Dill Pickle Ice Cream with a Candied Dill Pickle garnish.

Hmmmm… I suppose I would taste it!

How to make an excellent Mash-Up!

  1. Let 1 pint of the best quality of Vanilla Ice Cream soften slightly at room temperature, then scoop into a large bowl

  2. Chop any large mix-ins, them add the mix-ins to the bowl, stir and mash until thoroughly combined.

  3. Transfer to a resealable container and freeze until firm.
